PENSION PLAN INFORMATION
The plans offered by the Pension Fund of the Christian Church are;
1. Pension Plan - for any member (pastor/lay) who is employed by the church. Monthly
dues are 14% of the salary, payable by the church if it's for the pastor. If it is for any
other employed member, dues are payable at the discretion of the church.
Enrollment is recommended for those under age 50. Benefits - cannot outlive
pension plan benefits, there are disability and death benefits for the surviving
spouse and children.
2. Tax Deferred Account - recommended for those employed members who are over
the age of 55. Monthly dues are 14% of the salary. Benefits - contribution monies
grow tax-deferred, can take a loan against, can contribute 100% of taxable income
up to $45k.Does not have disability or death benefits.
3. Ministerial Relief - an assistance program for those retired pastors who did not
participate in the Pension Plan, but need financial assistance. Over age 65,
maximum assistance is $600 per month and must be pre-approved by Bishop
Moses.
4. Health Care - must be enrolled in the pension plan first. Premiums are sectored by
geographical area and must be reviewed according to where one lives. Includes
vision coverage.
** Note: Personal insurance is not offered with the Christian Church, however;
Ms. Charles is licensed to provide Life, Disability and Long-Term Care Insurance. If
